It’s going to be a first in northern New Jersey – an open house broadcast live from my smartphone to yours. Tour this magnificent 5,210 square foot luxury townhome through your mobile device as I give you the grand tour. 126 Cortland Drive, Saddle River, NJ was constructed in 2014.
No ordinary Periscope broadcast, this event will be shot using the latest gimbal technology to provide a smooth experience free of camera shake.

This open house is not available to walk-in guests as Saddle River Grand is a gated community.

The latest real estate data in northern NJ shows a very interesting trend. Average sale prices in luxury markets are increasing – in some cases substantially. Saddle River is showing a 22% increase over 2013 while Franklin Lakes is up 7%. This is in contrast to a 2% decrease in the average sale price across northwest Bergen County.

According to a new report by Redfin, sales of U.S. luxury homes of $1 million and more continued to outpace the rest of the housing market in Q3, 2014. It took us every bit of a year to find “the house” in Bergen County. Being from Somerset, Bergen might as well have been the Moon. Went through our share of Realtors as well but fell upon Mike at an open house in Ho-Ho-Kus, one of our target areas. He was very soft spoken but don’t let his quiet demeanor lull you into believing he is not going to work for you — Au contraire — he pulled data together on demand – and trust me – we are very demanding. I am sure his family thought we were nuts, calling him early in the AM and late at night with ideas and online listings. But at the end of the day (ore really year) and just in time to get our kids into the fabulous schools in bergen, he made it happen and we have our home. So what, you ask, is the above and beyond issue — It had to do with a swing set that we really did not need but did not negotiate the removal of — so Mike found another person – likely another satisfied client — to come and take it.
